Kira Bruno
Founder and Managing Director of FORTIS Resource Partners, LLC.
Kira Bruno began her career 19 years ago with Accountants Overload, a Southern California based recruiting and staffing firm. She was employed with the firm for 10 years, supporting professionals in their job search and assisting them in achieving their career goals. In 1999, Ms. Bruno joined a large international firm as Regional Vice President, overseeing the operations of their Southern California offices.
In 2001, Ms. Bruno was recruited to join Remedy Intelligent Staffing to start up their Specialty Finance and Accounting Division. In that position, she established the infrastructure necessary to start a new business venture, opened offices, hired, trained and retained recruiters and staffing personnel to meet the needs of clients and professional candidates nationwide. In the six years of her tenure, she established the company’s presence in the Western Region States, and was instrumental in its growth to 100 million in revenue.
In 2007, Ms. Bruno launched her own firm, FORTIS Resource Partners, LLC (‘FORTIS’). Based in Irvine, California, FORTIS takes a consultative approach when working with clients, supporting them with their needs to attract top professionals in the areas of Accounting, Finance and Tax, on an interim, direct-hire and special project basis. FORTIS prides itself on its in-depth interview process, which enables FORTIS to provide the appropriate candidate to fill the clients’ requirements. Every candidate is pre-qualified for the position offered. FORTIS works closely with accounting and finance professionals who are seeking their first placement or who are changing or transitioning in their roles to find new opportunities. FORTIS, with an extensive knowledge of the industry based on 20 years of experience, can provide market expertise related to the profession as well as expected compensation depending on role and size of an organization.
Ms. Bruno serves on the Board of Trustees for Olive Crest Children’s Homes and is the Vice President of Communications for American Society of Women Accountants in Orange County, California.
Ms. Bruno is a longtime Orange County resident and is a California State University, Fullerton graduate. She resides in Tustin, California with her husband and their two children. Her priorities include spending time with family, playing golf, skiing and cheering on her children at the baseball and soccer fields.
