Our client is a leading distributor of specialty hardware, tools and materials targeting large and medium sized construction contractors. With over 165 branches nationwide and 500 sales representatives, they stock a wide array of products, including brand name construction materials, concrete forms, supplies, and landscape lighting. The company continues to grow and is currently looking to expand their organization by adding a Senior Financial Analyst for their The Senior Financial Analyst gathers disparate data from various data sources; analyzes and normalizes to ensure data integrity for analysis. He or she provides consistent, relevant and accurate data as well as guidance/knowledge of the data and definitions that are available for analysis. The Analyst serves as a resource to regional company experts and gathers and compiles raw data, conducts research for industry trends and benchmarks normalizes data to be incorporated into a centralized data format. Additional duties include: § Analyzes, reports, makes comparisons to industry/company benchmarks, determines trends, and prepares cost analyses. § Defines data definitions and documents data limitations. § Prepare spreadsheets for data analysis; prepare reports with charts and graphs, mailing lists, maps and ad hoc requests. § Provides recommendations based on findings and analysis. Provides input on policies and procedures. § Participates in department and interdepartmental projects and may train other analyst and serve as a Team Lead. The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA in accounting, finance or a related field and at least five to eight years of financial analysis and financial management systems experience as well as strong experience with data analysis in large distribution businesses.
